Delete My Information

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), you have the right to request the erasure of your personal data held by The Regal Ornate. This page explains what data we hold, what happens when you request deletion, and how to submit a request.

1. What Personal Data We Hold

If you have an account with us, we may hold the following data:

• Account data: Name, email address, phone number, password (hashed).
• Order history: Past orders, shipping addresses, order status, payment details (we do not store card numbers — payments are processed securely via third-party gateways).
• Wishlist: Products you have saved to your wishlist.
• Queries: Messages you have sent through our contact form.
• Session data: Login tokens, cart contents (stored in cookies/localStorage).

2. What Happens When You Request Deletion

When you submit a deletion request, we will:

• Permanently delete your account, including name, email, phone number and password.
• Permanently delete your wishlist items.
• Permanently delete any queries you submitted through the contact form.
• Anonymise your order history — order records will be retained for accounting and tax purposes (as required by Indian law), but your name, email and phone will be replaced with "Deleted User".
• Retain shipping address records linked to orders for 7 years (as required by GST and tax regulations), but these will be delinked from your identity.

3. What We Cannot Delete

Certain data must be retained by law:

• GST invoice records (7 years as per GST Act).
• Transaction records for tax audit purposes.
• Any data required by a court order or law enforcement request.

4. How to Request Deletion

You can request deletion of your information by any of the following methods:

Option A: Email Request

Send an email to hello@theregalornate.com with the subject line "Request to Delete My Information" from your registered email address. Please include:

• Your full name
• Your registered email address
• Your registered phone number
• A clear statement: "I request deletion of my personal data and account"

Option B: Phone/WhatsApp Request

Call us at +91 99999-99999 or message us on WhatsApp with your account details and a deletion request. Our team will verify your identity before processing.

Option C: Contact Form

Use our contact form on the homepage. Select "Account Deletion Request" as the topic and provide your registered email and phone number.

5. Processing Timeline

• Identity verification: 1–2 business days
• Data deletion: Within 7 business days of verification
• Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation once deletion is complete

6. Withdrawal of Consent

You may also withdraw consent for data processing without deleting your account. This means we will stop processing your data for marketing/communication purposes but will retain your account for order history and support. To withdraw consent, email us at hello@theregalornate.com.
